I would think that the villain would not be so quick to assume he's going to win... that Speedy kid's mother is part of that group of Yonder's 'new family' and she's obviously pretty steamed at Yonder for getting her baby boy hurt.

What's going to happen is either Yonder is going to tell her that this villain is responsible or the villain is going to stupidly do it himself.
