Is that really a Spitfire? I didn't think they had more than a single seat.

Nope, sorry! The Supermarine Spitfire, even in it's largest incarnation (the Griffon-engined F. 22), was a relatively tiny airplane. Only a single aircraft, of the model that you depict (a Mk. VIII by the looks of it), was converted into a T. Mk. VIII, which first flew in 1946. Unfortunately, the RAF was transitioning to jet aircraft at the time and no more were built. According to the book "Spitfire: The History" (Morgan/Shacklady, 1987, Key Books Ltd.), the rear cockpit was quite small even for the average pilot and some controls could not even be reached.

It's intended to be a modified Spitfire. I know the Spitfire wasn't intended to hold so many people, but it's a plane I've always liked. We'll learn about more about Doc Spitfire in the future, in addition to the way he's changed upgraded his planes.
